On the way home from the fishing trip, Dad had stopped for gas. While he was inside the station, he bought a candy bar and a random pick state lottery ticket. The news said that somewhere in the state there was one winner. The next day, they announced that it was purchased at the gas station where Dad had stopped.

Two days after the winning numbers were announced, Mom was doing the laundry. She found the ticket in Dad’s pants. She thought that she might as well check it. They played occasionally but had never won any more than five dollars.

One number matched, then two, then three. They were going to win something. She checked the remaining numbers and they all matched. There had to be a problem. Maybe it was for the week before or something. She checked the date and rechecked the numbers. It was the winner. She went on-line and found that it was worth 13 million dollars.

No-one was home. Mom literally ran around the house with the ticket held above her head, screaming We Won, We Won, We Won !!!! About an hour later, Dad was the first one to come home. Mom ran to him and jumped in his arms, almost knocking him over. Dad had to double check to be sure Mom was right. She was. They started thinking about what to do with the money.

A while later I came home. Mom ran to me also and gave me a big hug and a long kiss on the lips. She excitedly told me about winning. I was excited but also worried about what Dad might think about the kiss. Everybody was so excited that no one but me thought anything about it. Dad said, “First we have to get a lawyer.” That night I heard some very loud sex sounds coming from Mom and Dad’s room.

Two days later they were in a lawyer’s office. He also checked and confirmed that it was the winning ticket. He told them that they had six months to claim the winnings and that they should get a safe deposit box and put it in there for now. He went over their options. Taking it a little at a time would be the best for taxes but not by much. If they claimed it all at once and paid the taxes on it, they would net a little over six million tax free. Then they could invest it in something safe and get a very large check for the interest every year or every month if they wanted.

We all talked it over and decided to do it that way. They would pay all their bills and then buy a nice house and live on the interest from the rest. Dad added that he had to also buy a nice boat.

A decision was made to invest five million and buy a house and boat with the rest. The next question was where. We researched places we thought we would like, both in the states and in other countries. We decided on the Tampa, Florida area. We flew there and found a real estate agent. After looking thru the listings, we had him show us four homes. One stood out and we immediately knew that it was the one.

It was a 3200 square foot house build to strong hurricane standards. It was on a one acre ocean front lot. It had a four car garage with a two bedroom apartment above it. That would be for me. There was a screened in pool and a dock. It was behind a barrier island for storm protection. The owners had a 26 foot sport fishing boat. It was listed for $1,199.000.

Mom and Dad offered $1,000,000 cash and asked for the boat to be included. The offer was accepted and we closed four weeks later. Dad quit his job and we gave Charles our notice. He was unhappy that we were moving. He liked the sexual arrangement that we had. He asked for one last roll in the hay but Mom said no. “That life is in my past.” I did not propose to Tina, but I asked her to come with us and live with me in the garage apartment. She quickly said yes.

We moved and settled into the new home. Dad took his boat out into the gulf almost every nice day. Dad got us a family membership in a nearby country club. We started making new friends. It was a new lifestyle. Mom and Dad happily spent most of their time together, as did Tina and I. About a month after our move, Mom came up to our apartment. “I have been thinking that I would still enjoy spending some occasional time with just you two. The tone of her voice was funny.
